In 2003, Iowa Central received federal funding to explore ways to make its expensive fiber optic system, more cost-effective and to serve a larger student population in rural areas. Elluminate Live! enables Iowa Central to mirror what it does on the fiber optic network, offering blended courses that allow the school to more fully utilize both mediums, offer more courses, and reduce costs.
