Association for Learning Technology Joins Elluminate Community Partner Program
Organization Will Use Real-time, Online Environment to Simulcast Annual Conference Sessions
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, (August 29, 2007) — Elluminate, Inc., a leading provider of live eLearning and web-collaboration solutions for the real-time organisation, announced today that the Association for Learning Technology (ALT), the leading UK body for practitioners, researchers, and policy makers in learning technology, has been accepted into the Elluminate Community Partner Program. As a Community Partner, ALT will use Elluminate Live! for a number of activities that include simulcasting sessions at ALT-C 2007, the UK's main academic conference for learning technologists.

A professional and scholarly association that seeks to bring together all those with an interest in the use of learning technology, ALT supports over 200 member organisations and over 500 individual members. Elluminate is a sponsoring member of ALT as well as a major sponsor of the ALT-C 2007, held in Nottingham on 4-6 September. Keynote speakers whose sessions will be included in the simulcast include Dr. Peter Norvig, Google’s director of research, Cisco Systems Education Strategist Dr. Michelle Selinger, and Professor Dylan William, deputy director of the Institute of Education.

"ALT's partnership with Elluminate has worked well to date, and our use of Elluminate Live! to support operations is gradually growing," said ALT Chief Executive Seb Schmoller. "We've been impressed with the professionalism of Elluminate's staff in the run up to the ALT Conference and with the company's practical commitment to making things happen. For the first time, if all runs to plan, all of the conference keynote speeches will be available in real time to remote participants, with archives of the sessions available soon after each session."

"Elluminate is proud to welcome the Association for Learning Technology to our select group of Community Partners," said Maurice Heiblum, President of Elluminate USA, Inc. "We are excited to be a part ALT-C 2007, which focuses on learning technology for the social networking generation. Elluminate Live! is specifically designed to support the development of online communities that foster social networking."
