Live eLearning Environment Will Add Synchronous Content for Distance Education Program

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida., (December 12, 2005) — Elluminate, Inc., a leading provider of live eLearning and Web collaboration solutions for the real-time organization, announced today that California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly, SLO) has selected Elluminate Live! Academic Version™. Initially, the university will use the virtual learning environment to reproduce the face-to-face experience of a traditional classroom, adding live interaction to online courses whose development is funded by a grant from the State of California.

After an evaluation process that included observing faculty using a number of products without extended training, Cal Poly chose Elluminate Live! for its multi-platform capability, ease of use, and ASP hosting model. In addition, the live eLearning platform included all the desired tools in a single package. The university will offer its first Elluminate Live! course, "Teaching Standards-based Art in the Elementary Classroom," starting in January of 2006. A variety of additional courses under development specifically for use with Elluminate Live! include "Communication and Technology" and "Legal Aspects of New Media and New Media Development."
