Live eLearning and Web Conferencing Technology Facilitates Meeting, Collaboration and Professional Development for Federal Grant Participants

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (January 18, 2007) — Elluminate, Inc., a leading provider of live eLearning and Web collaboration solutions for the real-time organization, announced today that the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) has expanded its license for Elluminate Live!® Academic Edition™ only six months after its initial purchase of the product. As part of the implementation of a two-year competitive Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) federal grant program, SAUSD will use Elluminate Live! for professional development, peer collaboration and ongoing meetings for grant participants.

Under the EETT grant program, SAUSD is working with approximately 40 history teachers from nine intermediate schools to integrate technology projects into their curriculum to improve student academic achievement levels. Because all participating teachers must become qualified to use technology as a tool for teaching and learning, comprehensive, ongoing professional development is essential to successful grant implementation. After evaluating a number of products, SAUSD selected Elluminate Live! as a key component for facilitating the professional development of teachers participating in the grant program.
