Liberty Christian School is an award-winning, private K-12 school whose brick-and-mortar campus is located in Argyle, Texas. We selected Elluminate as our partner to extend the success of the Argyle campus to 7th through 12th-grade students who do not live near our physical facility or who have other responsibilities that keep them from attending a traditional school. We knew our eLearning program would be successful in achieving our goals when we discovered Elluminate Live!
Elluminate Outreach
To better educate families about the Liberty Christian School Online Campus, we decided a hands-on approach was best. Having selected Elluminate Live! as the primary delivery method for our online learning program, utilizing the same software for our informational sessions was a natural choice. We loved the idea of being able to engage interested families on more in-depth levels than just through email.
In January 2009, we introduced the Online Campus to a radio audience of 2.8 million listeners, who were invited to participate in daily live Q&A sessions in my virtual office. Each day, I would go through a brief presentation about the Online Campus while slowly introducing features of Elluminate Live! The participants used tools for the whiteboard, were polled with multiple choice questions, and when available, used their webcams and microphones. We also posted a demo on our website portraying a teacher giving a lecture of a simple math concept. We wanted to give families the opportunity to actually come into an Elluminate room and try the features themselves.

To date, we have attracted interest from families in 49 of the 50 states in the U.S. As our Online Campus approaches its first classes in August 2009, we know that because of Elluminate, we can build a successful school and create learning environments that will ensure our students’ success. What’s more, added revenues will serve as a financial blessing to our faculty, staff, and partnering Christian ministries, and we anticipate reaching a return on our investment by the second year.
