LINGOs Delivers High-quality Learning Experiences Worldwide with Elluminate Live!

When you are hours away from the nearest city, thousands of miles from your organization's headquarters, and working on some of the toughest challenges facing our world, getting access to high-quality learning experiences may seem like a luxury. In fact, it can be a matter of life and death.

Because of the geographical distances, technology challenges, and lack of resources, field-based humanitarian workers have often been at the end of the line for new methods and innovative practices. But thanks to Elluminate, that is changing.

With the donation of Elluminate Live!, LINGOs, a consortium of international humanitarian relief, development and conservation organizations including Care, Habitat for Humanity, Oxfam, Save the Children, World Vision, and many others, has been able to deliver high quality learning experiences that would previously been unavailable to people working in the field. Elluminate has, in a remarkable way, truly helped not only the staff of our member agencies but also hundreds of local implementing partner organizations around the globe."

For example, LINGOs recently completed an online course for project managers that was attended by people in 15 countries, including Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Moldova, Tanzania, Tibet, and Vietnam, among others. For two hours a day, three times a week over three weeks, students were able to share challenges of their projects and learn from each other and from the leading thinking of the sector about project management principles. This synchronous learning experience would have been impossible without Elluminate Live!

We are grateful to Elluminate for their generosity in making this tool available to us and our members. In addition, Elluminate has been amazingly supportive as we work through the introduction of a new technology. They not only provided the product but also the support to make this a success. We are very fortunate that corporations like Elluminate have such a commitment to "giving back" because without them much of our work would not be possible.
