If you are still having issues hearing or speaking is your session, check the following.
For Speakers:
- Are there any others in the room talking?
You can ascertain this by noting if there are any indicator
lights in the speaker area of the “Audio Window”.
- Has a name replaced the word “Talk” in the talk button?
- Do you have the volume turned up on the speaker in the Elluminate Live! classroom?
Ensure that the Speaker slider is set properly and not all the way to the left.
For Microphones:
- Do you have “permissions” to use the voice feature.
The permission to use voice in Elluminate Live! can be
granted and removed by the moderator.
You can tell if you have this permission by:
- Checking the Talk button.
If the button is grayed out, then you do not have that permission.
- Or, you can look in the participant information window.
If there is not an icon of a microphone next to your name, you do not have this privilege.
- Checking the Talk button.
If the button is grayed out, then you do not have that permission.
- Contact the moderator of the session to get this permission turned on.
