Elluminate Techline
Daylight Savings Time in November 2007
Previously, the transition to Daylight Savings Time in the Fall occurred on the last Sunday of October. However, for North America, this has now been changed to the first Sunday in November (November 4, 2007). As a user, you do not need to make any changes however for administrators; there is a possibility that some meetings that occur during the week of October 27, 2007 to November 4, 2007 may be listed as the wrong time in our administration tools. For Elluminate’s hosted customers, Elluminate upgraded our hosted servers with a DST compliant version of Java on March 24. Please note that sessions created before March 24 that are scheduled to run between October 27 and November 4, will not transition correctly and therefore you will have to manually edit the sessions so that they run at the correct time. For our Server customers who are using the Elluminate Live! Manager (ELM), a notification was sent out prior to the DST change in the Spring informing you to upgrade the version of Java on your server. If you have not done this already, please go to http://www.elluminate.com/support-portal/ and search for "DST test". Similar to the comment above, sessions that were created prior to this update that run between October 27 and November 4, will not transition correctly and therefore you will have to manually edit the sessions so that they run at the correct time.
