When to Share by Application or Region in the Application Sharing Feature

The application sharing feature in Elluminate Live! allows users to share ANY application including their browser (to share websites), high-resolution images and animations, such as Flash or PowerPoint. This is a great feature for training, hands-on coaching and collaboration. When sharing an application, you can share by application, by region or share your entire desktop. Here are some of the advantages of each so that you can decide which option is best during your next session:

Sharing by Application: this allows you to select a specific application that is visible on your desktop. Attendees will only be able to see the application that is being shared and therefore allows you to have other applications open without the others seeing them.
Sharing by Region: this allows you to share and interact with multiple applications simultaneously. Basically all applications that fall in the specified region will be seen by the attendees.
Sharing your entire desktop: this allows you to share applications that run full screen or if you need to show users various areas of your desktop such as your taskbar, etc.
