Maricopa Community College Trainers Practice Using Moderator Tools in Real Time with vRoom
As part of an Elluminate Live! pilot program at the Maricopa Community College District,
Paula Connors in Technology Training Services used the live eLearning and web collaboration environment to hold her monthly Regional Training Committee meeting with technical trainers from all the colleges. During the meeting, she provided information via a PowerPoint presentation, hosted a discussion, and demonstrated the new online Time & Labor feature of the district’s Human Resources Management System using application sharing.
Impressed with the Elluminate tool, the community college trainers requested a training session on how to use the ESP (Elluminate Sensory Perception) moderator tools. While delivering the face-to-face training, Paula knew it was important to provide the trainers with hands-on experience with the tools. Elluminate vRoom was the answer!
“For the session, I downloaded training materials from the Elluminate website, including quick reference guides and cards,” Paula explains. “The trainers were required to obtain their own vRooms which they used to practice all the moderator functions. The train-the-trainer session was a big success!”
